Through interlibrary loan, the library can obtain books, articles, dissertations, and audiovisual materials. The library will not order textbooks for courses currently being taught at Edgewood College. We are unable to get full ebooks through interlibrary loan, although we may be able to get a specific chapter.
The library allows a certain number of free ILL requests per year:
Dissertations
A maximum of three dissertations may be requested and checked out through ILL at one time.
Blocked Accounts
If you have several items checked out through interlibrary loan that are overdue you may be blocked from requesting any more until you return the overdue items.
Doctoral Students and Dissertations
If you are a doctoral student and there is a dissertation you are interested in for your research and we can't get it through interlibrary loan we can try and purchase up to 3 dissertations for you throughout your dissertation process.
Lost Items
If an item is lost or not returned you will be charged a replacement cost, plus any processing fees.
