This privacy statement applies to the following domains:

Information collected via Google Analytics

The library websites use Google Analytics (a service provided by Google, a subsidiary of Alphabet Inc.) to analyze web traffic and to help us make website improvements. Google Analytics uses "cookies" which are small text files stored on your computer. Google Analytics collects information such as: your network location, IP address, search terms used, web pages requested, referring web page, browser and operating system, browser capabilities, screen resolution, date, and time. No personal information is stored in these cookies.  For details about Google Analytics and Google's privacy policies, please see Google Analytics privacy policy, and how you can opt-out of Google Analytics.

Temporary session information

The library website uses cookies to keep track of your current session and keep you logged on to any subscription database you are using from off-campus. These cookies are temporary and are not stored on your computer after your web browser is closed.

Other information collected

The library also uses several web-based management tools including forms for asking reference questions, renewing books, requesting interlibrary loans, etc. We use personally identifiable information collected and stored in the library's computer system only to maintain a user's library account and communicate with that user. The library does not share this information with any other entity outside of the library, unless required by law.

Third party services

The library websites link to other websites and licensed databases that are not maintained or supported by our library. In some cases library services may be provided through a third party (search tools, interlibrary loan services, etc.). While you may access these services via the library websites, the library is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of these third party websites, and we encourage users of these services to explore the privacy policies of these third party websites for themselves.

Embedded content

Pages on our sites may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if you are visiting the other website.  These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, include additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

If you have any questions about this privacy statement, or the practices of the library websites, please contact Jonathan Bloy, library webmaster.
