Whether you are in the Edgewood Library almost daily or are more of a study-at-home type of student, here are five things you may not know about the Library:
Librarian Liaisons
All of our librarians have their specialty areas of subject matter and diverse interests. Check our Librarian Liaison Directory to find their areas of specialty which can help you with research. Of course, each can assist you with your research in any discipline.
Oscar Express
If you are in need of an article or book we don't have access to, we are happy to get it from another library (called InterLibrary Loan). Students, faculty, and staff have a generous amount of free interlibrary loans they can request per year:
- Undergraduate students: 40 free requests
- Graduate students: 70 free requests
- Faculty and staff: 75 free requests
Article requests usually take about 1-3 days. and books 5-7 days. For more info, see How do I request something that's not available at Edgewood?
Beautiful space
Come in and check out our new extra-large bean bag chairs! The Oscar Rennebohm Library has a wonderful setting, which includes large windows which let in light and nature. This setting promotes relaxation and is a wonderful place to do your studies. Ah yes, napping is allowed!

With Kanopy, we now have access to more than 30,000 films
The Oscar Rennebohn Library has upgraded our access to the Kanopy streaming media platform, which now includes over 30,000 films. The popular on-demand film streaming service Kanopy is available here on our website. Edgewood College students, faculty, and staff can access Kanopy through links on the A-Z Resource List, or many of our research guides. Films can be streamed from any computer, television, mobile device or platform. You can access Kanopy films from any web browser, or the Kanopy app which is available for iOS, Android, AppleTV, Chromecast or Roku.
Offering what the New York Times calls “a garden of cinematic delights,” Kanopy showcases more than 30,000 of the world’s best films, including award-winning documentaries, rare and hard-to-find titles, film festival favorites, indie and classic films, and world cinema with collections from Media Education Foundation, Criterion Collection, Kino Lorber, PBS, New Day Films, and Psychotherapy.net.
