New UW library card procedure

Libraries: University of Wisconsin-MadisonUW Madison Libraries have updated their procedure for Edgewood students, faculty, and staff to obtain courtesy cards.

To get a UW Madison Libraries courtesy card:

  • Fill out an online application form
  • Students need to get a proof of affiliation letter from the Edgewood Library
  • Wait for an email that your card is ready (usually within 3 business days)
  • Pick up your card anytime the Memorial Library is open

To pick up your card, you will need to show a driver's license, state I.D., or passport. Note: UW will not accept your Edgewood ID as identification.  Students will also need the proof of affiliation letter from our library.

Wait!  Before you scoot off for the summer... Please make sure all library materials are returned before you head out.

Graduating?  Make sure all library fines are taken care of, to avoid difficulties getting your diploma/transcripts.
