Student casting their laptop onto a large television

Did you notice the new devices in the group study rooms?  Sorry, it’s not a teleportation device to send you to the beach or another warm location, but now in two of the library’s group study rooms we are piloting the use of Apple TV units.  The other group study room has a Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter.

You can see what equipment is available in each study room by clicking the INFO button on the room bookings page.

These units can mirror the screen from your devices to the big monitors in each study room (Mac/IOS to the AppleTVs, Windows/Android to the Microsoft device). This allows you to view video files, PowerPoint presentations, or just work in a group setting without having to huddle in a cramped space around a smaller screen of the laptop or phone.

Instructions for using the devices are below:

Need help or just want to see how this works?  Ask a librarian and we’d be happy to show you!
