Book display with a sign that says 'Want something fun to read?'from Micah Scott Shaffer, Graduate Assistant

Did you know that your very own Oscar Rennebohm Library has an extensive collection of materials that are not related to your courses? If you do, you are likely one of the select few who take advantage of our extensive YA, popular literary fiction, and provocative non-fiction titles. In fact, we often have books available now at our campus library that have a wait list down the street at Madison Public Library.

In order to try and highlight some of these underused books for you, we have set up an off-site book display in Predolin by Wingra Café, just next to the ATM. Anytime that you go into Predolin, you can grab a book, fill out a slip, and take it home. You do not need to come to the library until you are ready to return (and even then, you can use the drop box even though we’d love for you to come and get something else to read). The display will be updated frequently when books are borrowed, so keep an eye out for something that interests you.

Have a suggestion for types of books that you would like to see on the display or in the library in general? Send us an email, leave a comment on our Insta @oscarrennebohmlibrary, or drop in for a chat.
