Faculty Development: Home

Guide to Faculty Development Resources.

Welcome to the Edgewood College Collaborative!

Faculty development happens in many ways and across many offices at Edgewood. Explore the links above for resources related to teaching & learning, tenure & promotion, and funding opportunities. This space will also be used to post faculty development opportunities on campus, so check back for details about upcoming events!

Questions? Contact Rachael Lancor, Faculty Development Coordinator.

Teaching & Learning Center

The second floor of the library, rooms L7 and L1, are home to the Edgewood College Collaborative: A Center for Teaching, Learning & Scholarship. We hold faculty and staff development sessions in L1 and have drop-in hours in L7 for one-on-one assistance or just meeting to talk through new ideas. Check the newsletter and calendar of events (at right) for activities as they come available.

Workshop on Course Design & Inclusive Teaching

This workshop is designed for new faculty, and others who wish to learn more about curriculum development and course design. As part of the curriculum development process, we will explore inclusive teaching practices so that you can make your classroom accessible and inviting for all students. This is a project-based workshop; as we learn about best practices in course design and inclusive teaching, you will have the opportunity to design lesson plans that put this research into practice. Participants will have amply opportunity to learn from each other and share experiences from their classrooms.

The workshop will be facilitated via Blackboard in the fall semester and include monthly synchronous meetings. Contact Rachael Lancor (rlancor@edgewood.edu) to sign up.
