Dictionaries
Oxford English Dictionary - The OED Online traces the history of the English language word by word. Each of the 616,500 entries contains a definition, spelling, part of speech, etymology or origin, pronunciation, and quotations to illustrate usage. Other features include cross-referencing by word, as well as searching for quotations by author, date, text and keywords.

Encyclopedias
Encyclopędia Britannica - Provides access to the complete print version of the encyclopedia (approximately 80,000 entries) along with daily updates, over 10,000 illustrations, photographs, drawings, maps, and video clips.
