On April 1st, a redesign of EdgeCat, the library catalog, was launched. To access EdgeCat, click on the Library Catalog link from the top menu.
In addition to a new look with icons to show the type of material (books, CD's, etc.) and pictures of many book covers, the catalog also has some new features:
- Search the most common indexes from the main page.
- Featured lists of new books and other materials.
- An advanced keyword search, which allows you to combine multiple search terms and phrases.
- The ability to limit searches to items that are currently available.
- See all the searches you performed in the current session.
- The ability to save preferred searches, by logging in to your library account.
Apart from the new features, you can still do the things that were available previously:
- Your Account - view your current check-outs and fines.
- Renew items you have checked out.
- Access electronic books.
- Save and export lists of items.
