Edgewood College Past
In the latest On the Edge, Marilyn Matt's article on the archives referred to a Life magazine from December 1956 with a full-page picture of Sister Marie Stephen Reges wearing the full black and white habit. The three page photo essay is titled: "Workers for the church, holidays mark peak of service for God." We are currently researching copyright issues to see if we are able to provide electronic or paper reproductions of this mid-twentieth century story on women in Chicago. We will inform you soon of the results of our research.
Edgewood College Future
The Archives of the Oscar Rennebohm Library is committed to connecting Edgewood College's present and past to the future that we will all share.
Is there anyone "out there" who wants to begin working on a 2005 update of that 1956 feature?
These November days as the holidays arrive, the end of the semester approaches and final projects come due, we will welcome for consideration any digital submissions on the topic: Workers for the world and its many faith traditions, holidays mark the peak of global service.
Looking forward to hearing from a few of you.
